Farm Safety Power Pac Program

The Saskatchewan Safety Council, in partnership with SaskPower, is pleased to offer farm safety presentations to students in your school. Our updated farm safety program includes all new overheads designed to show children real scenarios and features our new “made in Saskatchewan ” farm safety video.

Our Power Pac team consists of local teenagers who have been trained by the Council and are available to visit local schools to talk about farm safety. They use a variety of materials and activities to deliver their messages.

Students will learn about areas and situations on the farm that are risky. Farm safety messages include these topics: tractors and machinery, livestock, chemicals, water, falls, power takes offs, electricity, grain, emergencies, lawn mowers and all terrain vehicles. Our Power Pac team consists of local young people, trained by the Council, who live on farms and know the dangers that children can face.

The program is designed to be flexible to accommodate various grade levels and student groupings. We can adjust the length of the presentations to suit your students and school schedule. Presentations can be 30-40 minutes for younger children and 45 minutes and longer for older students. We request that you book in half-day blocks. Presentations are free of charge.

Once you set up a booking a student in your area will contact you to set up a time that is suitable to you both.
