Under Development - Currently UnavailableOccupational Health and Safety Regulations require employers to ensure that only trained and competent operators are permitted to operate powered mobile equipment.
Training must meet specific requirements outlined in Section 154 and Table 14.1 of the Occupational Health and Safety Regulations. A minimum of 16 hours combined theory and practical training is required on all powered mobile equipment. The Saskatchewan Safety Council offers the necessary training to meet these regulations through two training formats.

The Saskatchewan Safety Council can accommodate your training needs to ensure operators use proper and safe techniques. We provide training on a wide variety of equipment, not all of which is listed on our site.
For evaluations, Power Mobile Equipment (PME) equipment must be in safe operating condition and meet all safety standards and regulations. Customers are expected to provide a safe open area to operate the PME type and if required, some items or products to handle with the forks or buckets (if applicable). We also require an onsite facility in which we can deliver the theory (classroom) portion of the training.
Evaluation costs are based on the number of participants, the experience level of the operators being evaluated, and the number of equipment attachments they need to be evaluated using.
