The Amazing Safety Quest is a free non-timed, station-based obstacle course which can be hosted by community groups, schools, and employers as an activity to celebrate safety.
The goal of the highly interactive educational activities is to contribute to the creation of a culture of safety in Saskatchewan by sharing injury prevention strategies, and informing young and new workers of the extreme importance of workplace safety. We provide all the customizable resources and instructions for activities that make learning to prevent injuries fun. Age appropriate activities are developed by the host based on industry/job opportunities of relevance and interest to the participants. |

This event has been designed to accommodate a variety of groups and organizations. Small groups, 5 teams of 5 people or less (25), should work through the course in an hour to an hour and a half.
There are a couple of ways to host larger groups:
- Increase team size
- Have more than two volunteers at each demonstration station (volunteers demonstrate a safety skill and then assess participants as they re-create the skill demonstrated)
- Split larger groups up so that half watch a safety video while the remaining participants split into teams and work through the course. After 30 – 45 minutes the two groups switch so that everyone gets an opportunity to watch the video and work through the course.
What is needed to host an Amazing Safety Quest?
- A room, or several rooms, large enough to host 4 – 5 safety demonstration activities

- A volunteer to oversee the Final Quiz and help to tally points
- From a technical perspective, you will need to be able to play a 3 – 5 minute welcome clip (there will be clues in the clip that will help teams answer the Fast Forward and final quiz questions)
