WHAT IS THE SASKATCHEWAN SAFETY SEMINAR?
Since 1974, Saskatchewan’s premier safety event (Industrial Safety Seminar) has brought together hundreds of safety professionals and interested individuals from across Saskatchewan to:
  • learn from, and participate in, educational sessions delivered by subject matter experts and thought leaders
  • find inspiration in keynote presentations
  • get informed on the latest safety-related products and services
Started by a group of concerned individuals, the aim of the conference was to give safety professionals in Saskatchewan a forum to discuss areas of common concern. It was an opportunity to bring a high quality safety event to the province and over the last 50+ years, the event has grown to become one of the largest of its type in western Canada.

WHO ATTENDS THE SASKATCHEWAN SAFETY SEMINAR?
Although aimed primarily at business and industry, registration is open to anyone interested in safety. Average attendance for the last 3 in-person seminars was over 750 delegates. This event is typically attended by safety managers and human resources professionals, occupational health and safety (OH & S) committee members, workplace supervisors, and interested individuals from small and medium-sized businesses. Delegates represent a large cross section of Saskatchewan industries including agriculture, mining, utilities, oil & gas, construction, heavy construction, logistics and warehousing, retail, provincial and federal regulatory agencies, and crown corporations.
WHY ATTEND THE SASKATCHEWAN SAFETY SEMINAR?
Annually, each Seminar is planned by a committee comprised of representatives from a broad variety of industries who select keynote and session presenters based on a first-hand understanding of what the most relevant, current, and pressing issues are.

The Seminar is an excellent opportunity for new or experienced safety practitioners (or those who wish to learn from them) to attend professional development sessions with experts on a variety of current safety related topics.

From it, participants leave with new and relatable information, knowledge of best practices, and tools which can be used to help improve and promote a safer work environment.
