Course Description:
The group starts by refreshing fundamental information on driving. This covers any gaps in the knowledge the participant may have and builds awareness of information all drivers should recall. The course then moves into a focus on driver risk tolerance, driver motivations, why drivers make the decisions they do and how risk tolerance can be affected by each form of impairment. These learning outcomes are designed to transition a driver from being reactive or defensive to proactive.
Topics Covered:
  • Basic best practices
  • Intersections, rules of the road, right of way, and merging
  • Sharing the road, emergency vehicles, work zones and large vehicles
  • Adjusting for the seasons in Saskatchewan
  • Adjusting for the road types and conditions experienced in Saskatchewan
  • Properly passing vehicles and making split-second decisions
  • Driver Risk Perception
  • Driver Risk Tolerance
  • Driver Impairment, including substances, medications, fatigue, illness, emotions and distractions

Course Duration: 4 hours
Cost: $100.00

After registering you will also gain access to our free online training modules for Gravel Road Safety and Trailer Towing.

We also offer driving courses that are specifically tailored for school buses and 15-passenger vans. Workplaces may also choose an optional add on for an in-vehicle evaluation for an additional fee.
