Students actively enrolled in grades 10 through 12 in a Saskatchewan school can now achieve a high school online credit, and enhance their resumes, by completing a Special Project Credit through their school that includes Career Safety Education.
Saskatchewan Safety Council has developed this Overview Document which includes options for interested students to consider when developing an individualized Special Project Credit. Students must follow the Saskatchewan Ministry of Education Policy. This credit option is only available to youth in Saskatchewan who are registered in secondary programming grades 10-12. Special project credits do not apply to adult learners in the Adult 12 program regardless of age. Note: The proposal must be completed by the student using the Special Project Credit Template found within the Saskatchewan Ministry of Education Policy document on page 13, and approved by student’s principal prior to beginning the project. To complete a Special Project Credit, 100 hours of work must be imbedded in your proposal. Details are listed in this downloadable Overview Document. A sample of a proposal can be found in this Overview Document on page 6. It is suggested that students register for the Career Safety Education program to complete a portion of the 100 hours required to receive credit. |
The Overview document will outline the requirements to complete this Special Project Credit and answer any questions you may have. Please email [email protected] if you have additional questions regarding Career Safety Education Special Project Credit.
