Saskatchewan youth between the ages of 14 -21 can now achieve a high school online credit by completing a Special Project Credit through their school. Career Safety Education will allow youth to earn a high school credit and enhance their resume from the online safety training that aligns to individual interest and needs.
Saskatchewan Safety Council has developed this Overview Document and options to consider supporting Saskatchewan youth interested in developing an individualized Special Project Credit. Interested students must follow the Saskatchewan Ministry of Education Policy. This credit is optional for youth in Saskatchewan who are registered in secondary programming grades 10-12. Note: The proposed template must be completed by the student and approved by student’s principal prior to beginning the project. The Special Project Credit Template can be found within the Saskatchewan Ministry of Education Policy document on page 13. To complete a Special Project Credit, 100 hours of work must be imbedded in your proposal. Details are listed in this downloadable overview document. Examples to develop a proposed template can be found in this Overview Document on page 6. It is suggested that students register for the Career Safety Education program to complete a portion of the 100 hours required to receive credit. |
The Overview document will outline the requirements to complete this Special Project Credit and answer any questions you may have. Please email cse@sasksafety.org if you have additional questions regarding Career Safety Education Special Project Credit.
